Alain Menier /Holotropic Breathwork

514.502.0220 /alain@montrealholotropic.com /  www.montrealholotropic.comFB

Alain Menier has been practicing holotropic breathwork since 2007. In 2011, he obtained his GTT certification as a facilitator and began hosting workshops in the Montreal area. He has since accompanied more than 500 people in the exploration of their psyche.

Holotropic breathwork is a powerful method of exploration and healing that draws on the findings of modern research in consciousness, anthropology, depth psychology, transpersonal psychology, Eastern spiritual practices, and various spiritual traditions. The word holotropic means “turning towards the whole” (from the Greek “holos” – all – and “trepein” – turning or going towards). The process itself is relatively simple: it combines accelerated breathing with evocative music, in a safe environment. Lying on a mattress with their eyes closed, each person uses their own breathing and the music playing in the room to enter a non-ordinary state of consciousness. »

Fabien Rosenberg /Fasciatherapy training

www.fabienrosenberg.com

For more than 30 years now, I have accompanied people wishing to offer themselves a point of support (a support) on which they will be able to lean to relieve their pain and bodily restrictions, their discomfort, to free themselves, to renew and to unfold. To help people in their quest for solutions, well-being and understanding, I use a perceptive and bodily approach, perceptual pedagogy.

Founded by Professor Danis Bois, this practice allows people to be accompanied through fasciatherapy and sensory gymnastics.

Julie Drouin /Pilates flow and Pilates et Stretching
juliedrouin.com

I have been a Pilates instructor since 2008 and graduated from a graduate program in somatic education (2012), as well as an advanced training in somatic education profile Feldenkrais (2015). I also have the experience of ten years in biological sciences. I consider my practice as a happy tinkering of ideas and know-how shaped by these different journeys.

I teach Pilates, Stretching, as well as somatic education inspired by the Feldenkrais method.

In my classes, beyond the approach taught, it is important to me to promote a context where the pleasure of feeling moved is put in the foreground. Learning to listen to your bodily sensations and use them is a powerful tool for moving more efficiently, avoiding injury, achieving your fitness goals or simply taking care of yourself.

I am happy to join the 1900MOOV studio with a Pilates and Stretching class suitable for seniors and a Pilates Flow class.

We are dedicated to this mission: to accompany you in the realization of your ally, your sacred and magical reconnection tool! When the drum calls to you or vice versa, that is where I appear in your life through the synchronicities of the universe. Whether it is to facilitate awakening or to accompany your inner healer in his work of returning to himself to then better heal the soul of our brothers and sisters. They are created in this sense with all the love we have to serve the great plan.

Sylvie Fortin / Feldenkrais method®

514-279-1506 / sylvie.fortinlong@gmail.com

With the Feldenkrais Method®, you experience gentle, slow movements that bring you an overall sense of physical and mental well-being. This method relies on the sensorimotor dynamics of the body, the plasticity of the brain and a pedagogy of discovery to better perceive the bodily signals that tell you how to move more fluidly, regardless of your age and physical condition.

For 30 years, I taught this method at the Dance Department of the University of Quebec in Montreal. The practice of this method has contributed to my personal development, among other things the rehabilitation of a major back injury. Professionally, as a researcher within research teams in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, I have used it with many children and adults in vulnerable situations, whether fibromyalgia, depression , eating disorders, neuromuscular diseases, stroke or substance abuse. I specify that I am not an expert in all these conditions, but I am an expert in the development of the consciousness of the movement. My writings on the subject have appeared as much in scientific articles as in popular books.

I had the unexpected opportunity to teach in various cultural contexts around the world. Today, my passion for practicing and teaching the Feldenkrais Method has not waned. On the contrary, the power of this method using gentle movement to trigger awareness at all levels of being still amazes and fascinates me. The Feldenkrais method appears to me as an opportunity to enrich one’s life because, following a session, many report that the states of bodily well-being felt are often accompanied by a state of clarity in terms of the emotion, imagination and thought.
